Welp, it’s over. Artomatic has officially closed it’s doors and we have deinstalled the entire show. I’m forever grateful to the organizers who made this massive event happen and to all the patrons who came. It was AMAZING! I’m so thankful to have had the experience, to have had more eyes than I’ve ever had see my artwork as I’m expanding my practice and to meet people and engage in thoughtful conversations. Such good stuff. I’m sorting through shop updates to include more notecards and stickers that I had at the art market so those will be on my site soon along with a little spit and polish of things. I’m hopeful Artomatic will happen again, maybe next year, maybe in a few years. But either way it was a welcome experience I believe for all involved. We needed it. Thank you again for all your support and for everyone getting this newsletter for the first time, welcome!!!

It’s remarkable that it’s already the middle of May! I’m happy to have plans forming and some exciting things to share that I can’t quite tell you about yet but will soon. First off, I’ll be participating in the Canal Center Art Mart in Old Town Alexandria on Saturday June 15th from 1-6pm. Keep checking back to their platform for more details and I’ll be posting info on my IG too. It’s a great little nook by the water in Old Town where Alexandria Arts Council is bringing some activities and opportunities for artists.

Workspace preview

My workspace is basically a table in my condo surrounded by various storage systems I’ve cobbled together over the years! I’m thrilled to now have a piece of family furniture that is not Ikea to help shore up all my things and I just reset the entire space to make it more accessible which feels so good. I may share next month if you’re interested! And yes, of course…coffee! (and water!) :)

I will also be finishing my most recent run of the 100 Day Project soon and plan to be releasing a few collections from that project. I want to create some groupings and am excited to share them with you! I plan to have a few pieces at the event at Canal Center in June as well. I’m also planning some photo projects for the summer that will allow me to use several different cameras as I go on my yearly road trips. Definitely planning to document that on IG so check out my feed if you’re interested.

I am again, so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to share my work this past year and to have more people respond to it. I’ve always felt a little zap of healing energy after creating an image and that’s something I want to pass onto others. So know that the intention with all my pieces is to give a moment of peace & wonder amid the potential daily chaos.

That’s all for now. Thanks for being here!
